new tank

I just recently transferred a small salt water tank. I think it is 2 litters or so (no more than one gallon). I bought it from my LFS and it looked really healthy.

It contains a clown fish, a banded coral shrim, a hermit crab, a small piece of live rock, and some sand. It also has a small filter that was built from scratch.

I know my clown fish is taking its time to adjust to its new surroundings. I posted a thread earlier but I forgot to mention that my shrimp and crab are also inactive. Is this normal too? Are they stressed out?

Thank you all that respond and sorry if I sound desperate.

the only thing in that list that can make it in a 2 litr tank is the live rock... and if you bought it at the lfs like that... just the ride home in that small of a tank with no filtration and that many critters would gave caused some serious stress.. not to mention the stress they have from being in that small of a tank.

A Fish in one Gallon of water is pretty much the equivalent to you living in a prison cell that's 8x8.

Now double that with a ride home where everything around you is shaking like an earthquake and things are chaotic all around you. Worse than that, you have no Oxygen coming in at all.

You might be a bit stressed.

Not trying to be too sarcastic, just trying to give you a comparison to what the fish is going through.
