Best clean-up crew for clam tank
the main focus will be my ever growing clam collection this will be plumbed to my main tank... I want to know the best algae clean up crew for this setup it will recieve only natural sunlight for light so I am assuming I might have some algae probs what are the best cleaners that will not harm my clams I have some very small clams so I need ones that will never harm a clam no matter the size... inverts and fish I am open to all ideas oh as for size is 96"x40"x24" plywood tank......

heres my thoughts so far
Pseudocheilinus hexataenia for pyramid snails Turbo fluctuosa Astraea tecta Margarites pupillus snails for algae thats about it besides a school of chromis |

the only thing I have to add is that by no means should you include a foxface rabbitfish. I'm sure you already knew that but I didn't until I came home one day to find half a clam. I was not happy to say the least.

Really, my foxface never touched either of my clams...
Are they known for this? Or, is it just yours?? (fyi, my foxface is dead now after a 6 month stay, I think a recent dino bloom had something to do with it) thx, -A

best CUC for clam tank....
snails, fighting conchs, trubos, astrae, nassarius, etc........ brittle stars ( not the green ones ) crabs, blue legs and emeralds ( lots of people don't like em but ..... ) Quote:

I was told this is typical behavior from foxface fish, at first I didn't know who to blame until I saw a buddy's tank and he had to remove his foxface because it was nipping on all of his clams.
