ATI Skimmers

I thought I read that the ATI skimmers use a gate valve on them that was suppose to be an upgrade from the original design or are 200's and 250's built like they are shown on the reefgeek site?

I bought my BM200 from ReefGeek 4 weeks ago and it had the gatevalve. BTW, unbelievable skimmer. I am thrilled with it.

Those pics and the movie were taken the first week of operation. that skimmer now pulls around 1.5" of dark muck every day. I have a large sump/fuge and feed heavily. I love the skimmer, I have owned many in my time but this one is unreal.

Thanks for the pics.....alot of what I read was that it was a pain to direct the outflow from the skimmer with the gatevalve.....

Direct it where? I never saw a complaint about that.

Yeah I was searching for info on them and when they made the change to the skimmer as it is now, there was some people saying they couldn't direct the outflow from the skimmer.....

I posted about the new design. The outflow comes out the bottom of the skimmer. You cant direct the outflow to another section or area of your sump. I prefer to be able to do so.
