Yeah I wanna take a pic of my tank and place him in there,
or even do some camera tracking of the fish in the tank as
animated video.

I used 3ds max and Cs2 for texturing. Took about 2 weeks to finish ,
the texturing and mapping takes longer than the model.

Nice work job on the render so far... can you post different pictures of your fish, so it looks more like a (real life) 3d object? I want to see it look like a real fish...

And if you ask me, the modeling is what takes longer than texturing... the only thing time consuming about texturing is having to look up different textures on the internet... well, in my opinion, anyway.

now you need to send it over to maya and animate this little guy. i am in school for the same thing. We are using maya, but i have had saome awesome renders out of 3ds max.

Great job, i would like to see more of your work.

Yeah I use macro pictures and I painted the rest in photoshop myself
I don't take reference from the interenet only if I have to.

But that's what the internet is there for... to be pillaged like the pirates used to do back in the day.

As long as you give credit when using someone else's images, instructors at my school don't have a problem with it.

Cool thats where I went , You have to learn on your own at that school
some of the teachers barely knew the programs and some Really where there for a reason

LMAO... I know exactly what you mean... but in my one instructor's defense, he actually taught us important things during the "3D Modeling" class that I was enrolled in a few semesters back.
