Question. What going on when the skim mate is sometimes a greenish tea color and sometime a brownish color. What's the difference?

Well one is decaf....lol I could not resist. Mine changes color like that after I clean the skimmer. If I leave it there without cleaning, the darker everything gets since build up is present

In my case, when I skim wet, the skimmate has a greenish color.
When I skim dry, the skimmate has a brownish color. |

usually, skimming dry is what you want...but if you say, had just dosed sugar and want to get all that bacteria out that grow to suck up the nitrates....skim wet. Youusually skim wet to get something specific out of the water
