what commonly reproduces in our regular tanks? a survey...

Reproduced: actually multiplied, not just hitched in.

In my 54g reef:
Dove snails, spiorbid worms, stomatella snails, mini featherdusters, copepods, amphipods, mysis shrimp, sponges, discosoma neglecta mushrooms, red mushrooms, purple mushrooms, bristleworms, grape caulerpa [OMG! but I killed it!], and some sort of b/w brittle star---waiting for info on this one.

Bred but young eaten/failed to survive: scarlet hermit, nerite snails

[side note, re asterinas: try bumblebee shrimp from F/S. They don't kill asterinas but they might nag them into non-reproduction. Very tiny shrimp, sucker-eaters.]

I was very happy to see my trochus snails are reproducing. That's in addition to stomatella, copapods, amphipods, vermetid snails, sponges, spaghetti and peanut worms, etc.

I've had hermits produce larvae in my tanks, but they're quickly eaten by the fish. I couldn't figure out what was breeding until one night when I actually saw a hermit releasing the larvae into the current - that was a neat thing to watch by flashlight!

I've also had Collonista snails, sponges and feather dusters reproduce, as well as macroalgaes and worms. My ceriths are forever laying eggs, but I'm not sure that counts as reproduction since they're eaten as soon as they appear on the glass.

vermetids....ah, vermetids. I had them every half inch all over the tank until I hosted a purple tang briefly. Yum. They really didn't seem to hurt much with the corals...they were definitely outgunned by the bubble coral. But I was glad to get rid of them.

Same (hitchhikers are multiplying), plus corals, growing new stalks or heads, and sun coral, starting new colonies at distance.

Pods, mysis shrimp, feather dusters (in plague proportions, but luckily I like them), spaghetti worms, vermetimid snails, sponges, other snails, etc, and one night I had tons of baby pistol shrimp flying around my tank.
