Wow.. gamers in here too? I'm a PC gamer guy though..... Can the PC guys play online with the console guys? I'm assuming that its completely different servers that host console games.

I'm pretty sure the 360 guys can't play with the PS3 guys. Online play is free on the PS3, so I assume 360 uses a different network for their 'Live' subscription.

I have it on xbox 360 too I am on there as lord twisted though.

As far as which is better between PS3 and the 360 that is an argument that will not be won by anyone for a very long time, you just have to weigh the pros and cons...I can help

Xbox 360:
First production run overheating problems
To play online you have to have a gold Xbox live membership which is an extra $60 a year I think
A lot of FPS and raceing games for the 360, and a few in most other genres

PS3:
holy crap is that the price tag?
online servers are laggy
What games?

More or less the PS3 is a great console, and should be due for some nice games to be released.

But the 360 is a little cheaper, and has a ton of games out, and has a lot of games it can play from the original Xbox, and more you can download online. 360 also has a ton of game comming, a few being released every couple of weeks.

So I went with the 360 due to the game library.

Bought both PS3 and xbox360. Got rid of the PS3 due to no good exclusive games really, and most games that are on both consoles are better on the xbox360. Also Xbox LIVE is MUCH better than the PSN online(ps3 online service). I did like the PS3 though for watching blu-ray movies. Thats about all I used it for. Only thing I dont like about the 360 is the build quality. They tend to overheat(atleast the older models). I'm on my third 360.

Can't beat the PS3 contollers. Games will come. Online is free can't complain too much. Tons of free demos online. Blu-ray. PS3 is 400 now and if you got the HDDVD upgrade I'm sure they are the same price.

PS3 all the way! If you have an HD TV, just buying it for the Blu-ray player alone makes it worth it!!!

Yeah but you can play standard DVD through the xbox360, and buy the HD DVD player add on for it to play HD DVD for the same price, and then when the Blu ray technology dies out in another year you won't be stuck with a blu ray player......

the 360 plays HD and the new release of the 360 has the HDMI now.

and still the selling point is the games, PS3 has none yet and has been out for quite awhile, developers just are not impressed with the PS3 they put there money into the 360.

PS3 vs xbox360 debates can go on forever lol. In the end, its all matter of opinions.

IMO the ps3 controllers are garbage.

To small
To light
no rumble(not yet atleast)
Analog sticks are in bad position for FPS games
Analog sticks have humps instead of dips(like 360 analog sticks) This causes your thumbs to slip off at times.
Did not like the squish triggers at all

Yes Xbox LIVE is 50 bucks a year and PSN is free. But it is true that you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the info everybody, kinda confirms what I was thinking. The Blu-Ray capability and the historically stout PS game lineup were the only things that kept me from deciding on the 360. Since it would'nt be hooked up to the HD TV, kinda takes away the Blu-Ray benefit.
