Flow for 20 gallon LPS tank

Hi Guys

I used to run my 20 high LPS on a single 900lph Fluval internal powerfilter for flow but unfortunatly this doesn't give enough turnover to keep the tank clear of detritus ...yesterday i added a Hydor Korallia Nano 900lph but with the 2 900 lph pumps on my LPS are taking quite a battering from the flow and arn't opening up very big...

I have the pumps pointing towards each other so it creates a random flow...

So should i leave it as it is and hope my LPS get used to it or should i go back to using just the one?

Thanks

Elliott

I have been fighting with flow issues too in my 20L. My SPS love the high flow, but then my softies/LPS aren't that thrilled. I am using a maxi jet 900, which is 230gph, comparable to your 900lph. using it alone didn't make too bad of flow, but then again I have a Aquaclear 110(500gph) and a Aquaclear 50(200gph) so that helps really stir up one side of the tank and slow the flow on the other. I would keep one of the powerheads and get a lower lph aimed the opposite way. Battering the LPS more then likely will not open up if hit with high flow.
