what coral/s have you lost that hurt the most

i know this is a touchy subject to some but i was curious to see... well i was just scrollin threw some old pics and came across 2 corals i have lost one more recently than the other and it made me wonder what other people out there have lost that hurt them

heres my 2 that hurt haha at least i can look back and smile now knock on wood

never knew what this one was but got it as a little non colorful stub and it grew to this just before it died... most of my corals that ever have been hurt or died was caused by alk issues

then this milli started out really blah a pale blue then turned to a multi color one... this one never recovered after a low alk incident

so what have you lost

Look at my thumbnail....the most beautiful anemone I've seen. Fushia and white beaded Heteractis Aurora. Kept him for 3 years then suddenly started declining and finally died...? infection.

I haven't lost an SPS yet knock knock.

I lost a wild colony of blond people eater pallys that fluoresced hot pink under actinics (never seen again anywhere).

I also almost lost every zoa in my tank introducing wild colonies...hopefully that little bit of experience will help me in the future.

Pink birdsnest, pretty and bright. Only had it a few weeks, the frag had some tissue regression when I bought it and it continued despite being dipped a few times with a lugios' solution.

i think that green w/ blue tips maricultured colony (tenius?) that you lost over the summer hurt me the most.......lol

I'd have to say my personal most devastating loss would be a wicked local granulosa that I've wanted for years. FINALLY got a frag....only to have it RTN by the next day. And the rumors are that the colony was lost shortly after it was fragged and everyone who ever got frags also lost them.

so far......no other devastating sps loses, just lps and zoa losses that really hurt.

Sad to say, but great idea for a thread.

They were only frags, but instant favorites. Lost when the seam split on my display tank. The speciosa was left high and dry, and Shrek (A. horrida I believe) TN'd after moving into the frag tank to tear down the display.

A. speciosa from Atlantis

"Shrek" from Keeperz. This one literally glowed

My favorite blue milli.

My other favorite blue milli

Lost both of those when I added a calcium reactor.

This one just up and RTN'd when I went on vacation a while back.
