Question White spots on my rocks?

Hi ..

Sorry,I didn't have a photo but i will try to explain. For a few weeks i have been looking my rocks and white spots like paint drops appears on it. What can it be?

That could be anything. They could be sponges, tube worms, dying corraline algae.

Hi Whooper, I've had the same thing, only on my glass. I don't have any coralline though...

Its dead coralline. It will become normal coralline eventually

I had white spots (maybe 1/6" across) showing up on my glass and such a while back. If they look curled up... the best way I can think of to describe it is a tiny white "croissant"... which is what mine looked like, I was told they were essentially build up from the result of overly nutrient rich water (which mine certainly is being a FOWLR with lots of messy fish).

you are describing a Spirorbid polychaete filter feeder which is harmless.

They can either be flat worms or glass feather dusters. If they appear to flat worms, don't worry b/c my moms friend is amarine biolgist and he told me that those ones are okay.
