HOB Filter and LR Rubble?

I put some lr rubble in my hob filter today. I also added a culture of pods in the hob filter. Will this be a decent place for them to thrive?

I dont think you would get the population stable this way. It may help but i think flow would be to rapid. Im sure it wouldnt hurt but dont try to keep a dragon with that setup.

Why do you need to keep population stable. Any dragon fish?

Not sure of your tank size but a dragon can clean a 75 gallon dry fast and then starve. You need a fuge thats been running a few months to stabalize your population. I see threads on buying pods but never hear positive results.
Then you need a minimum amount of LR. \
If tank smaller then 75 gallon then R.I.P. young dragon then the reef gods will punish you . Im sure just a flat tire or something.
