The Large Reflo skimmer is going to be a monster. It is going to have a highspeed dart powering it. I know CoralVue is working on it right now.

I would say a Volcano, made by Spazz here on RC. It's also a Dart w/ a needle wheel of Spazz's own design the body is 4' tall and 18" wide. The problem w/ the Volcano is the time frame he told me 6weeks when I ordered it and it has now been close to 6mths.

PM makes awsome skimmers, Beckett skimmers seem to have fallen off simpaly becouse of the larger size pumps it takes to run them IMO these are the best skimmers out there.

I am runing a bullet 3 and that still isn't quite as powerful as the smallest of the XL's. Just going by the performance of my bullet 3, the XL's must be awsome.

I was not very impressed with the aerofoamer due to lack of information. I was thinking of something like this.

http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merch...gory_Code=EURO

But my mind is not made up. I am open to any other suggestions not to mention the price.

EuroReef make a good product but the problem with skimmers with multiple pumps mean more maintance. I would suggest sticking with a one pump skimmer. I have never been lucky enough to see one of Spas volcanos in person but that would be the direction I would head if I was setting up a tank your size. I would also call CoralVue and get some info on there Reeflo monster.

i have a bullet 3 with an iwaki pump thats kinda over kill for my tank, i was thinking of selling it and getting something more efficient lol it uses about 300w but it skimmes very very nice and the corals have been growing like crazy, water is clearer then ever but its probably not the best choice for a 1500gal! only 2.5 feet high and 6in diameter.

Don't worry I will be posting build pictures as the whole project gets underway. Right now I am just getting a shopping list together.
