Pair but seperated in QT tank? normal?
Is this normal?
I brought a really nice pair of maroon gold today. At the shop they were together (sold to me as a pair), After I drip them for 2 hours and put them in a 30 gallon QT tank with LR (no med or hypo yet). They were hanging out together and swimming fine. After a few hours they seperated one is in the corner hosting the filter the other is hiding behind the Rock. I know is normal to hide for a while, is it normal for them to seperate while hiding. Ammonia is 0 Nitrite is 0 Nitrate is less then 20 PH 8.2 to 8.4 Thanks |

I have 3 gold stripe maroons in my 70 gal. And they still to this day separate off and on, but for the most part there together all the time, but some days they all off doing there own things.

My marroon pair is together sometimes but sometimes they seperate and go to different parts of the tank. I think as long as they are getting along you are OK.
