Phosban Reactor and Chaeto?

Are these two compatible? Does the chaeto need phosphate to grow like algae?

Do people typically use both or one or the other?

Chaeto will consume NO3 and some other organics. Phosban will remove PO4 only. Its a good 2 pronged approach IMO.

I run a refugium(with cheato, caulerpa prolifera), Rowaphos and carbon in a reactor. I need to prune the macro algae aleast once a month.
