So what's your really bad reef keeping habit?

So my wife made me aware of a really bad habit of mine today. She was in the kitchen making some dinner when I couldn't help but go look into the bucket I use for water changes. She says to me, "Why do you always leave your bucket there full of water every single week?"

Well of coarse I have an answer for that. I never dump out the water right away so I can see what kind of critters I vaccummed out, duh.

So, what's your bad habit that you just can't seem to break?

I'm living in a cramped student house right now.

Our house does not have a workshop so I often use my own bedroom for this. I end up with saw dust, acrylic fragments and limestone all over my room. As a result, my non-reef related productivity nose dives (Also, anyone not involved with reefing thinks that I am totally crazy)

I think we all need RKA (Reef Keepers Annonymous) i have slowed down on my spending on my tank i was spending my whole paycheck on it, but every once and a while i have to spend a little something on it at least once a month (not including the essentials for the tank.) I got to admit i get lazy once and a while.

I treat my reef like my kids. I also seem to want to by them something to make them happy. I have this thing were no matter what I have I seem to have to make something for it or by corals. Also I am always rearranging the rock work.

I can't seem to go one single day without putting my hands in the tank for one reason or another....multiple times.

Just one day....one whole day. I need to know I can do it! LOL

I continually upgrade equipment. If I just bought the nicest stuff to begin with, I'd save thousands.

Oh, my wife leaves stuff everywhere so I just tell her that is where the bucket goes. She puts away the 40 something dog toys (most of which I bought) then I'll put away the fish toys.

Another bad habit. I stockpile equipment. I have enough in my garage to start two more tanks at any minute in time. Not as bad as some, but when I moved to Oregon from Cali last year I sold off all of my extra stuff, so I have aquired that in the last year.

I spend two hours or so a day online reading about fish, another two hours looking at my tank.
I need help

Don't do it. Last time I tried my blood pressure dropped from lack of salt and I had to spend the next day rearranging all of my liverock just to feel normal.

My bad habit never keeping up on the tank like I should. I wait until I realize I have alot of monmey in this tank, maybe I should take better care of it. I dont do my water changes like I should, or test my water. My big problem is anothe of my hobbies is cars. In the summer is cars, in the winter its the tank.

I am in the same boat as Zotzer, I can't help but reach inside my tank at least once a day to move, adjust or re-arrange something. It drives my wife crazy, she always asks me why I can't leave the poor tank alone for a day...

I use 1 really good expensive dish towel per day. When they run out I use the Calvin Klein towels. All end up on the laundry room floor. Dripping profusely on the hardwood floors. It's a close toss up
