I got this because my reef tanks has green water (plant flankton bloom). I could not solve that problem even if I changed 80% water but solved with this filter instantly. The diatom powder of this filter make kind of gel and any tiny dust can be trapped by this mud like gel. This filter can make any contaminated or turbid water completely clear within 30 minutes.
When you maintain the reef tank you can get any chance you water become bad because of dead corals or anemone or some other reasons. It is insurance for that time.

Included new mainatenance filter bag replacement and three unopend diatomagic filter powders.
