Anthony Calfo Speaking Nov 22 Detroit

Hey everyone I just wanted to give advanced notice to let you all know that Anthony Calfo will be presenting at the MASM meeting on Nov 22. I will be hosting this meeting at my house. Directions are at MASM.org

So mark it on your calendar if you have not seen Anthony speak it is a great time to learn and be amused with his stories

His book Coral Propagation is a great book and you don't have a copy we will have some available that night for $25

Everyone is welcome and you do not have to be a member to attend.
But the dues from memberships give us the opportunity to have speakers like Anthony. So for the $15 a year it is well worth it to become a member.

Thanks Ken

Ken, I'll be there (and I'll bring $15 for a membership).
Can we make this thread a sticky?

RC will only make it sticky a week before the event so I will bump it occasionally and ask for it to be sticky a week before

Great Ken! I already had it marked on the calender, but have been wanting to see your tank in person as well (missed the tour last spring)!

Ken, thanks for the invite once again. I'll be there... please let me know what I can bring as well. I am due to contribute better than what's been done in the past!

btw, is everything from the 225 now in the 450? The pics are looking good!

All you Detroit folks out there...DO NOT miss out on hearing Anthony speak. You'll enjoy it. He is the total opposite of a lot of these dorked out 'expert' reefers.

Funny, Smart, Entertaining, handsome..lol jk about that last one.

Seriously don't miss out!

I was reading at ClamsDirect.com that Anthony Calfo along with Bob Fenner and Steven Pro has a new book for pre-order called Reef Invertebrates!

Is he going to be talking at all about this new book and what it is about? Given that he already has such a nice book out, this new one should be great!

Are the people attending going to be getting any kind of deal on it as well?

Oh hey that is the same link I saw.

- Crustaceans: crabs, shrimps, lobsters, zooplankton
- Giant Clams: Tridacna and Hippopus
- Other Mollusks: oysters, scallops, snails, nudibranchs
- Echinoderms: starfish, sand dollars, urchins, cucumbers
- Worms: featherdusters, fanworms, bristle worms, flatworms
- Sponges, sea squirts and tunicates

sounds great.

Cripe! I was complaining about you guys normally only having the meetings in Troy...just printed directions to your house Ken. Now I am thinking "if only you could have the meetings someplace close like Troy". Looking forward to seeing everyone there tomorrow night if I can get there in time! I assume there will probably be a lot of "security" to help protect Anthony from the mob scene that I am sure will ensue. I just hope all of the stardom has not gone to his head.

Anthony Calfo? I thought you said Anthony Edwards from ER. Hmm. Makes me want to rethink things. Hehe. J/K. I can't wait to see him tomorrow.

Traverers Alert! Leave yourself plenty of time. The weather clones are predicting 2" - 4" of snow. Ouch!
