I use the frozen bar of Cyclop-eeze and let some defrost in the water column. I turn off my return pump so none of the food goes into the sump. I keep my powerheads running.

I find the live DT's zooplankton really gets my corals to perk up. Sometimes I just put it in the water, while other times I may spot feed a colony directly, at night, after I turned off pumps and jets. I have found that regular feedings helped with coral color and polyp extension, as well as flow, lighting, water parameters etc...

DT's doesn't have any live zooplankton products on the market. They have a live phytoplankton product of which most SPS can not consume as it's off their radar. Most stony corals do not capture phytoplankton, nor do they consume it.

Depending on what I feel like concocting on the given day, I feed one or the other or a combination of Dt's oyster, Reef Chili, prodibio AA's, Dt's phyto, cyclopeeze, or Rod's food. If I do Rod's I don't add anything else that day - it's like a Thanksgiving meal for your tank, coral, fish & all.

i am pretty sure that size is small enough. whether or not the coral will eat it is another story entirely. i would like to hear some success stories regarding this food source.

luckily for us these animals get over 90% of their energy from sunlight. That said, we are not even coming close to actual sunlight, so any successfull foods that can suppliment feeding these guys is always welcome!

I feed it to my tank every day. Around piece the size of a nickle. every fish eats it, all my lps corals love it and extend their polyps and stomachs (even with the lights on), even the acro crabs get daring and really extend out of their homes.

I am lucky to live in IL where his is located so I get enough to last me 2 months for around $20.

Call him up and let him know an LFS in your area you would like to see carry it and he will set them up to distribute. They will not be able to keep it in stock. You can also get it on Premium Aquatics for around $50 delivered to your door.

It is all I ever feed.

I second that. Rod's food is all I feed my tank. All my fish eat it and it is inexpensive. My corals are growing well, their color is nice and my fish are fat.
