Get the Right Equipment? (pumps, smimmer, pipes, etc.)
I currently have a 125 gallon show reef tank just set up. I dont want to add any corals until istall my sump/refugium. Im afraid the water quality wont be perfect enough for the corals and fish. I have researched and been told that sump let you control you water system better. So i drew up a pic of my idea for the sump/fuge:
What would be the best arrangement of equipment should i get? Skimmer -? Pumps -? Plumbimg -? Extras - top offs, reactors, etc.? Please let me know thanks! underWoasisjake

I am currently doing a very similar set up. 180 show, 75 refugium, 80 sump, considered plumbing the sump and 'fuge together like you have it, but decided against it. I am going to have about 1000-1100 GPM going through my sump, didn't want near that through my 'fuge. I put my 'fuge above my sump, and will be teeing off the overflow of the show tank about 300GPH, through a ball valve, into the refugium then overflow into the sump. LOL it's much easier to draw then eplain in words...

Ya very true that is why I drew this pic. What kind of pumps are you going to use?? How do you decide how many gallons your sump/fuge should be?
