There are a number of places that sell DT's locally. Go to the DT's web site and search for local vendors. The same for Reed's products.

Thank you!

DT's is very expensive for rotifers. It's good for an emergency, but, for the long run, you want to use something like Reed's rotifer diet. It's a highly concentrated nanno blend that is thick like a syrup. It can be frozen into cubes for easy feeding (just drop one or several cubes into the rotifer culture) or stored in the refrigerator in a bottle. It's $70, but it will last for a very long time unless you are growing and supplying all of CMAS with rotifers. Then it will only last you for about a year.

I just got DT's from my LFS.
This is my first time culturing rotifers and I have some questions.

1. How much DT do you have to put in a half of the 2 liter bottle? I have about 2oz bottle of rotifers(1000 or more rotifers) in the bottle.
2. Can you see rotifers with bare eyes? I dont think I can see them, so if I cant see them how am I supposed to collect them?

My best advice for you is to get yourself out to the Rod Buehler school of rotifer farming. Buy some supplies why you are out there.

You can also go to rotifer.com and get information. http://www.reed-mariculture.com/rotifer/recipe.asp

I still recommend going out to Rod's.

p.s. Buy some supplies why you are out there.

Yes, you can see them with your eyes. Half of a 2 liter bottle will not be enough to feed all those baby clownfish.

Read this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Clownfishes-Jo...3290746&sr=1-1

and also go see Rod.

Here is a picture of my few days old clownfish to give you an idea of what you'll be dealing with. The white spots in the tank are baby brine shrimp.
