Question Which protein skimmer? your views please?

BOYU

http://www.charterhouse-aquatics.co....0l-p-1589.html

Is this protein skimmer good for a JEWEL Rio 240 fishtank?

it is only £50 UK sterling

The alternative is.....

PRIZM Deluxe

http://www.1st4aquatics.com/red-sea-...mmer-455-p.asp

But this is nearly £90 UK Sterling, so please give your honest opinions as i would idealy like to only spend £50.

Please select between these 2 models only thank you.

Thank you so much.

I wouldn't get it. It looks like it's made very cheap. Not near big enough for a 240 tank anyways. If you want bang for buck get a EuroReef RS 250. I have one and love it!

In the US we use gallons, that converts to roughly 63 gallons.

If your tank isn't in gallons like I thought then you wouldn't need the first skimmer I suggested. You would do very well with a Euro-Reef RS100 on your tank.

For a 63 gal. tank, I wouldn't buy either one. You'll just end up replacing it with a better one very soon, which will cost you more than doing it right the first time.
