Changed MH bulb -- clams not fully opening

Hi all:

I changed my bulb from Giesemman 13K / 250 to Phoenix 14K/250 two days ago. I've put a screen over the tank for the first week to allow the bulb to break in. I've noticed that the mantles on my clams are not as open as usual, and they are extra skiddish --close up more easily.

I left the screen off for a few hours to see if it changed, but it was about the same.

Is this normal when you change lighting? Any suggestions?

Thanks!
