Dropped a zinc-plated nail in tank...

I was directed to the chemistry forum with this issue. This morning I was working on devising a scheme to vent air from behind my tank, and I accidentally dropped a zinc-plated brad in my tank. It's one of those tiny finishing nails and it fell behind all my LR so there's no way I'm gonna be able to get it out without removing all my aquascaping. Does anyone have any idea if a zinc-plated nail will cause any serious issues in a setup with a total of 40gal?

Zinc is extremely toxic to many animals. I'd remove it if possible. The tank might be okay, though.

I have a tang that's trained to retrieve hazardous items I drop in my that you can borrow. JK, I think you'll be just fine.

If you do not find it just make sure you run carbon and a polyfilter for safety

use a telescoping magnet... or something magnetic on the end of a skinny stick or wire of some sort
