Live Brine if your desperate. Most fish cannot resist these little guys when they swim around. Many people start with brine while acclimating the fish, anenome, and corals. Frozen Mysis, frozen brine are 2 other good choices. I would try live brine, best chance of success.

Unless gut loaded, or freshly hatched (orange/yellowish color to them) brine shrimp is not a very nutritious food source. In a pinch due to non eating fish it can be used, but not as a long term dietary source.

Also look into Cyclopeeze, this stuff seems like fish crack in my experience, and is highly nutritious.

I know it's not a very nutritious food source. But when nothing else works. I never really had much luck with cyclopeeze. I use it daily for my coral but my fish don't have much interest in it. I'm currently having an issueof my own, my anthies wont accept anything but live brine. I've had him already for over a month. I'm leaving him in QT untill he starts feeding on something other than live brine. I'm afriad if I place him in the display he won't last very long.

my LFS only has frozen brine, cyclopeeze, and the frozen mysis.

Do i let it thaw out and then feed it by hand to the Anemone, fish, and Jawfish (ill prob just put a little at this guys door)? Also, is their a preference on which inhab gets what food? Sorry, im a newb.

I put a block of frozen food in a plastic dish, let it thaw, rinse with RO/DI water straining through fine mesh (I uuse my fish net) then put thawed food into tank.My fish race for it. I rotate frozen mysis, frozen Angel/Butterfly to give fish a variety.I also put a piece of seaweed on a clip to let them graze on.

Yes thaw first. Most of the inhab will let you know if they like it. Fish get pretty hyper if it's something they like. The anenome I'm not all sure how they feed exactly because i never had one. But if you run a search on it here on RC there are many threads. As far as the fish just as you would any other fish food.

my LFS only has frozen brine, cyclopeeze, and the frozen mysis. These are all pretty good. Cyclopeeze is usually pretty small. Great for smaller fish like your chromis.

Ok i was told this but a Local reefer, Not sure how well it will work but he swears by this. It is a Homemade Fish food and he Swears even the pickiest of eaters will gobble it up.

2 Bottles Clam Juice
4 packages Knox Gelatin
2 cans Canned Shrimp(with Juice don't drain)
2 Cans canned Crab Meat(again dont drain)
1 Bag Frozen Mussels(My local Walmart Sells them) Shelled and meat reserved
1 Package Seaweed(he uses the toasted kind made for Sushi)
1 cup Spirulina Powder (most local health food stores carry it)
1 Full Package Frozen Silver sides(Pet Supplies Plus Carry's them)
1 can Tuna in water (Again Dont Drain)
1 Package Squid
2 Full Heads Garlic (remove shells from each clove)
Prepare the Knox Gelatin according to the box but use Clam Juice Instead Of water. Run Shrimp, crab, mussels(meat only),Seaweed,Spirulina,Silver sides, tuna,Garlic Cloves, and Squid through the Blender on highest Speed (add juice with canned products) Add Clam Juice as needed until you get it to a runny paste. add this to the Knox Gelatin and Pour 1 cup into Ziplock Bags, Press as much of the air out as you can when you seal them up, Lay flat on a Pan in the fridge and allow them to set up for 24 hours then Freeze, Once frozen remove one bag at a time and cut into small feeding sized squares 1/2'x1/2' or 1'x1' and Store in a Ziplock in the freezer till ready to use. To feed just drop one in the tank wait till gone then drop another if needed.

As i said i have never used this or fed it to any fish myself but i know a guy who swears by it.He also Says you can add any pre-packaged frozen(like Brine Shrimp,Cyclopeeze) flake, or pellet marine fish food In the Blender for extra nutrition!

I'm sure it works good. But most of us don't have that kind of time.

mysis shrimp is good. One thing to try (if you are not already) is to leave your powerheads on while feeding. It makes the food look alive. You could also try soaking in Selcon. That stuff has a strong sent and is very nutritious.

Other good foods include Formula One, Formula Two, Prime Reef, Cyclopeeze, and Spectrum. Feeding a variety is a good idea, so you can always try different ones until they start eating. Eventually they will take whatever you give them.

That thread has a lot of information on feeding both corals and fish.

Brine shrimp are a fine food if they've been fed reasonably well. Gut-loading is also useful, of course.

I have heard of many similar recipes, and have tried it myself. Works great. I would strongly recommend using fresh or frozen rather than canned meats tho, and just plain nori not seasoned or baked. I also skip the gelatin part and freeze it, keep it simple. Also, that is WAAAAAYYYYY too much food unless you have a several hundred gallon aquarium full of fish. I made about a cup of this food for my 55 gallon reef 3 months ago and still have about half left. Its a simple as picking up a few scallops, shrimp, clams, oysters, squid, etc at the supermarket (or better yet farmers market or natural food store) and throwing it in a blender for a minute. Pour the mash into a freezer ziplock bag, squeeze out air, flaten it and throw it in the freezer.

Here is a link and instructions for some home made coral/fish food. It gives good ideas what all to use. Again don't use as much as it says unless you have a huge tank. Otherwise most of it will end up freezer burned and wasted.

Frozen mysis is good. Soaking it with some crushed garlic or commercial garlic soak seems to entice a lot of fish to eat.
