I have mine under 250xm 20k's and 400xm 20k's and i have to say i really like the color under the 400's better. The colors are much more pronounced and the polyps are huge. I have them from mid tank all the way down to the bottom of the tank. Hope that helps.

I have mine under 150mh 20k's. They don't have much choice. Colors and polyp extension is great.

I have them under 150 20k , 150 10k and 250 20k and they all grow fine under each but the ones under the 150 10k are washed out in color just a bit but they grow just fine. For keeping the great colors I would go 20k any wattage.

Tek 4 x 39w T-5s. Sfigioli actinic, 10,000k, 12,000k and a blue +. That's it on mine and they are growing and the colors have remained fantastic. Some colors have even gotten better. I have a few on the bottom of the tank and they're fine. I also feed them once in a while.
I will use a 6 bulb configuration on my next tank if I don't go with halides.
