Thanks guys. Ivgonmad, if you are referring to the green stalks in the foreground, It is Neomeris Anulata, AKA Green Penis Weed. Most folks don't have a problem with it, I do. In the last month the amount in my tank has at least quadripled. these pic are from about 5 weeks ago or so. My advice is always pull it out!! NOW! But, some people like it.

If it makes you feel any better I had that same stuff the first few mos. of my tank. I can not give you any magic reason why I no longer have it but it went away and has never returned. I did increase my flow but I seriously doubt that it had anything to do with it disappearing. There is hope. Mine lasted about four mos. and I have not seen any for the past eight.

Well, I thought it was cool too so I can't blame you there but now I tell everybody, "get it the heck outta there, NOW!" Nothing eats it, nothing kills it, and it eats up calcium and lots of room in the tank. I've also noticed it seems to completely inhibit growth of coraline algea once it's established firmly.
