Talking This weekend...

Other than a fantastic TBRC meeting, I've been reefing and having fun. I mounted my light rack on the slides. Lights are on right now. I'll take pics of the slides in action tomorrow morning.
But for now, here's a full shot.

Here is my Acanthurus Vlamingi that I got from FAOIS today. It will be hanging out in the 50 QT for a while. He eats like a horse.
I'll get a closer shot in a couple of days after he's a little more acclimated to his new surroundings. For a size reference, that's 6 inch PVC.

Thanks dude. We missed you today.

Yep, all 5 Chromis are in there and all the sand from the QT are in the tank. The rock from the QT is in the refugium.

Just did some testing in the QT since I've removed all the rock and sand, and wanted to make sure the double bio-wheel was keeping up.
pH 8.3
NH 0.25
NO2 0.1
NO3 5.0
So far, so good.

I dont QT corals and fish together. After the Vlamingi is in the 390, I'll put a 250 MH over the QT and take out the bio-wheels. Then I'll load it up with SPS.

It's for some of them, primarily the female Naso Tang.
