Is that the stand or the frame for the tank? Either way trade my first born to swim in it when stocked.

I've always wanted one of those!!! I keep begging and pleading to my wife to let me get my own drinking room. Wow, that must be great to have. I can only picture it... you have a long, rough day at work and all that you can think about is relaxing. But, you can't!! You have kids, chores to do, bills that need to get payed and projects that you have been promising your wife you'd finish...and thats when it dawns on you!!! YOU have your very own private "area" in your basement. As soon as you walk into that 120x48x30 (?) frame, all of your worries go away. You're on your own now. Sit back in that plastic $9.99 patio chair and forget about your problems. And maybe... just maybe, you will relax enough that you will picture your dream tank.

Well, I'm pretty sure he's built the stand, so that's gotta be the frame

I was going to say it's a 120 with a really small guy in it.

Magdalen, I laughed hard for a while!

Dimensions are 9' x 5.5' x 35" -Going for a quad surge.

1,080 gallons... is that what you're going to call it?

What's the "quad surge"?

4 quasi-carlson surges with an equalization tank. To provide flow.

the tank isn't going to be totally full to the top. I'm leaving a few inches for splash and crash.

First I'm going to try duct work venting outside. If that doesn't work I'll do an HRV.

Also the heater/cooling intakes are actually in the basement (it's finished) so the house heat in the winter and cooling in the summer runs through the basement so that will help a bit. We also have a dehumidifier.
