115g Reef

G'day,
Just finished my new aquascape, let me know what you think (it's 3am so only the pure actinic and fijipurples were on for the shot)!

Cheers, Josh

and yesterday:

Very nice tank, good diversity. It must be hard to catch some winks with that system over your head.

Thanks everyone! I'm happy with the scaping now, it gives much more room for the stags to grow-out. I’m looking forward to when the blue-stag corner grows together like a wild forest!

It's not that bad. The Iwaki is the loudest, and I have insulated that under the sump with house insulating foam. The BK and Eheim are very quiet anyway.

The thing that wakes me up is the mantis shrimp that has avoided any traps set ....

Some shots taken under full lighting, others just under Fijipurples and Pure Actinics.

Feeding time!

Gave the Angel and Tang a treat tonight, with a sheet of nori, and a very generous amount of spirulina powder folded to make a tasty nori/spirulina sandwich. As they ripped the sandwich apart, the spirulina turned the water a tinge of green, I noticed some of the LPS had great PE, and the clam kept moving water. The skimmer went nuts too.

Anyway here are the photos:

Very nice pieces and colors.

Is the back covered with stags? If so, it's going to look killer when it grows out.

Thanks Peter, I have seen some un-'ID'ed Anthias with purple colour, at a LFS that put any fish I have seen to shame. I am trying to get a hold of these...(!) the LFS only had one last time, just to see what they came in as, apparently it was labelled as "stunning purple Anitha" on the collector's list...

Thanks Steve, yes it is. I'm also looking forward to the growout, should look wild… I’m a huge fan of stag type Acropora.

Harry, yeah he's only ~3", he has grow a fair bit from when I got him. So far has only taken a liking to Aiptasia (none left now), and Trachyphyllia. I have seen him test a few acans, but nothing too serious. Hasn't tried any SPS, nor the duncan or elegance.

Cheers.
