juvenile mimic and coral beautay angel

i just got a juvenile mimic tang about 2 inches, put him in the main tank yesterday and the coral beauty angel wont leave him alone. mimic has some bites out of his fins already. is this because the angel thinks hes another angel fish? that is what they mimic? if so should i keep the tang in the other tank until hes an adult and has changed colors? or will the angel stop? they are in a 120 gallon.
