Aquapod - opinions?

Looking for reviews and opinions of this, 12g nano all-in-one system

http://www.current-usa.com/aquapods.html

I think JBJ also has similar

I am seeking a temporary (6 months) home for two perculas while I move to a new home...thinking about setting one of these up at work

Please share your experiences

Have you put a skimmer in the JBJ

On the Current website, they list a Fission skimmer will fit in theirs.

Thanks for chiming in...anybody else using an Aquapod or the JBJ equivalent?

If you get the enclosed lid, it's tough to add a skimmer.
I know the pod can can come w/ the hqi light fixture which leaves the tank open top, allowing the addition of a skimmer.
The nano fission skimmers are a pain, I wouldn't waist my time w/ one.
I'd look at the tunze doc.

I have an aquapod 24, so far do good. I would not recommend the fission skimmer, heard alot of negative things about it. Tunze or the Ramora seems to be the way to go.

JBJ just released a new 28 gal nano cube w/ 150 watt HQI, enclosed hood, skimmer, wavemaker, etc. It's on backorder now but I'd wait for that one if I were you!

I have the 12gl one for a year now with no problems at all. The hooded setup is only good if you have no plans running a skimmer(had to remove mine) or sump. But you can improvise one of the chambers in the back as a mini chaeto/refugium sump. Stock lighting should be fine for most softies.
