Clam care

I was wondering if clams would be ok sitting on the floor of a bare bottom tank?

I'd think it would be tough for it to sit upright, closed, until it could attach it's foot. I've never tried though.

You could always get a clam cup from Nicks Acrylic Reef: http://www.nicksacrylicreef.com/listitems.php?cat_id=11

I've also seen them made from Reef Ceramic.
