My 30ish gallon custom starphire - pics

So I posted about this a long time ago (probably October) when everything was built, but I finally got around to moving everything from my 24g to this new tank. The setup is as follows:
  • 30g +/- display 24" W x 18" D x 16" H using Starphire glass, rimless
  • 30g +/- sump same dimensions using Starphire (long story, cabinet maker messed up the stand size so I had to remake the tank), rimless
  • Custom wood "antique" stand (pics to follow since I forgot to take them) with the tank sunken into the top of the stand about 2 1/2"
  • 24" Coralife Aqualight Pro 150w HQI + 130w PC actinics
  • EcoTech Marine Vortech MP40 for circulation - some say overkill but it works SO well in this tank and leaves me room for growth later. Also without the heat being added to my tank it runs at such a perfect temp and is SUPER quiet, can't wait for the ability to control it soon
  • Coralife SuperSkimmer 65
  • MaxiJet MJ1200 for the return

Now for the pictures!
Full tank shot

Sump

Vortech mounted on back of tank (can't see it from viewing angles)

Now for some corals
Purple Leather

Some new zoa's I just got

Sinularia + various other stuff on that side of the tank (frogspawn, pulsing xenia, GSP)

Torch - one of my first corals and definitely one of my favorites

Various other things - view from the left side

And I can't forget to add my little helper who certainly wants to be involved with anything involving the fish tank (he wore himself out that day)

More pics to come later. I will post a pics of the entire stand to give you a better idea of the looks as well as others. Any comments are welcome!

beautiful tanks and stand. Have you thought about raising the tank up just a little bit so it sits a little higher in the stand? Either way, it looks great.

I thought cats hated water? Every animal has its own personality, my spaniel think he's a cat and hates water unless he has time to scope it out

Anywho, fantastic tank, you must compliments galore from people that come over

Well apparently Bengals love water... he likes to try and jump in the shower or run around right after.

EnFuego, my plan is to actually add about 1"+ of sand so that the sand bed sits flush with the top of the stand. It may be a bit difficult now that the rocks are all set up, but I thought I had more sand then I did when I made the move and once you start, you can't really stop

Anyway, here is a pic of the whole stand
