Does anyone know if this will work?

I have a buddy that is willing to loan me a ballast to replace mine til I can get one. The only thing is I have to have a light that will keep zoo's and shrooms til I get a new ballast. The only thing I have is a regular strip light. Will this keep zoo's and shrooms for a week?

It's a 20 gallon with just some rocks, zoo's and shrooms that i want to put the strip light on. I am looking for a 150 or 175 hqi ballast.

Any light is better than none.

For a period of a week or less, I'd say you are in the clear. There are periods in the wild where they go that long with little light (stormy seasons). Not to mention they went that long being shipped over here without light!
