turbofloater tf1000 or aqua remora

If you had to use one or the other for a 55gallon which one would be the best choice. it doesnt matter wether it goes insump or hob, just trying to get a consensus. any opinions would be very helpful

turbofloater... Remoras have been getting the worst reviews lately.

THe turboflotor pulls about 5 times the air the remora does, and has a larger reaction chamber. It also has a better designed neck and cup.

Its also cheaper... and uses less electricity.

Turbofloater, easier to dial in and produces better results. IMO

If you're looking in to turbofloater 1000 then you may also consider octopus, same pump and you can easily mod it to make it better...

Did not see the in-sump, then I would go with an octopus nw150 or an aquaeuro classic 135 (reefnut.com). make sure you get the NEW pump if you go with an AE, as they had some early issues.

Turboflotor

Mine has been going strong for over 4 years now, not one problem with it.

Is the turbofloater better than the CSS? I have the CSS and it seems to be great for the money but I'm always looking to upgrade

yes but not enough to make it worth while swtiching. Dont get me wrong as far as build quality and use the turboflotor is better in every way but for sheer performance when a CLSS is dialed in the turboflotor is not that much of an upgrade.
