Hydor Koralia Pumps

Has anyone tried these power heads? If so, what did you think of them? Someone let me try one out. The flow seemed week, howver it was only a 400 GPH unit. The spray pattern seemed wide enough. Was wondering how the larger ones compared to the top name brands. I would appreciate all feed back. Thanks- Chris

Consider getting the tunze 6025. After you mod it it is supposed to put out around 1100 gph. Really wide pattern.

I have one of the 4's on one end of my 125 and it is great. A wide pattern, but I like it like that.

I have a 4 and a nanostream 6025. I like the 4 better than the stream. It is a little bigger, but the mount is much better IMO.

I have two of the #4's in my new 75. They are my first powerheads, so I don't really have anything to compare them to. I have them mounted about 6" down from the top of the aquarium, and I can see that the surface stays pretty well agitated.

I'm cycling rock in there now, so I move them once a day to blast stuff off of the rock. They do a great job of getting the whole tank stirred up.

We might also want to add they are LOW watt users. I know the Tunze NanoStream's use less, but when you look at the Tunze NanoStream 6045 at just under 1200 gph, it uses 7 watts. The #4 is 1200 gph and only uses 8.5. A seio 1100 uses 21. I am looking to buy 2 more of my 120.
