PetWorks Closing Florence Store

We will be closing the English Village store. Ads will appear next week. Get in early for great deals. We still have lots of live rock and sand and quite a few nice corals. We will also be selling some of our tanks and fixtures including lights. If you're interested in something, let us know. All offers will be considered.

Bout an hour and a half to 1:45 depending on traffic, where you are in B'ham, and how fast you drive, etc etc. It's not a bad drive at all. I-65N to Cullman, then 157N through Moulton then merge onto HW 20 near Muscle Shoals and follow signs after that.

Oops. I might as well post directions to the store while I'm at it. Take 20 west until you get to a large intersection and take 43N (also called about 6 other highway numbers) through Muscle Shoals until you see signs to turn right and cross the bridge to get into Florence. At your 3rd (I think, may be 4th) light after the bridge turn right onto Dr Hicks. It and Tennessee St. will merge as you veer to the right into Florence Blvd. After about 2 miles take a left onto Hermitage Dr. On your immediate left is the shopping center. PetWorks is the last shop on the corner. Take a left at the first light and enter the shopping center on your left. That should do it.

Lots of used drilled tanks, live sand/rock, sumps, T5s: bulbs, ballast and endcaps, metal halides, tons of suppliments and the like. No reasonable offer will be refused.

I have a standard 90 and 75 and one drilled 75. I also have a drilled ninety display tank that I could sell later in this moth.

If I'm not mistaken there won't be another store, I heard he was going into Realty full time.

As of 3 weeks ago when I was in, they were talking about finding a smaller location and reopening a store there. May have changed since then though.

New Store

The new store will be called Salty•Doggy. We are working hard to get it up and running. It will be much smaller and will be primarily a fish/reef shop with some of our best selling dog lines. We will no longer carry any product for birds, small animals and reptiles other than crickets, superworms, mice and rats. We are adding a number of grow out tanks and plan to actively frag and grow corals for sale locally and on the web. I think the new store is going to be great. Adam and Chuck will be running the store. I am going into other things as my primary source of income. I hope you all will be in to check it out next month.

Bob

Great news! Best news I've read all day, actually.

This works out for me 'cause I only have fish, corals, and a dog anyway.

Good to hear that it is going to reopen. Adam has been talking for a while about wanting to do a store just like this.

Bob - hopefully we'll talk soon - I'd be interested in knowing how the things we spoke about are working out.
