This is still in the raw stages but i was unsure if it would get enough light w\lux meter im getting 250X100 at the low and the high is 800X100 thats higher than my 2X400 wt metal hals and 2X96 wt pc they only put out 100X100 12 inches down the tank

my temp is 71 to 74 every thing so far cost me $300.00 it is 20ft X 6ft im getting some real tanks soon they will be L44"XW24"HX8" there will be 5 of them and i might put mylar up on the fence or maybe just plastic tarp so nothing gets in. The jug is 325 gals its my sump.

im crazy becase it already has blue tort, pink birds nest, tri color acro, polyps, green toadstools, and xenias in it all just frags off my main tank but they look so cool outside they look happy

Nice :-) I love different approaches! Got any pics of the few corals you have already out there? I used to have a pond in my yard (SW) ..I'll see if I can dig up pics.

What did you use for the roof?Is that just polycarb panels like they sell at lowes and home depot.Are there specail ones you have to use?Are there other alternitives like a tarp like material?

Looks great by the way!!!I just subscribed to the thread to see how it turns out.

yes the ones at home depot instead Im not sure if it is ok yet it has only been a week it said great for green houses on the poster so i would think if its safe for plants it should be fine? i will take pics in the afternoon im also installing a pond pre fab ill take pic but put them in the yards section i wish i could of put this in more direct sun but my girl said NO WAY my bud has one in full sun but 10 am its 83 in tank 85 in room too hot for me Xspecialy right now his is nice but all clams i love the smell in there lol

2 X 250 Heaters plus im sure the 2 X 2100 rios help heat a bit

when the summer heat hits you there is gonna be problems. Temp swings are the worst thing for a gh. Trust me I would look into a chiller. How much water volume do you have presently?
