The original colony is from http://www.reefstuff.com/p-137-acropora-tortusa.aspx

Here is a pick of what we will be fragging from:
http://bluefrags.com/CaliTort.html

The actual cost will probably be around $27 a frag.

The Oregon tort is originally from Upscales in the Portland area. I have not tracked frag prices lately, but $30 seems like a good price. It is a painfully slow grower for most. BTW, the orange w/ green polyps is another famous coral, the Sunset montipora. It is quite difficult to get and can't be had for $30 unless you have an inside connection or friend who's fragging it.

If those are representative frag sizes, count me in. That's a great price on the OT.

I will try one also if this goes through. Now that my SPS problem is solved I hope! Wonder if he would cut other things from his tank also? You should ask

I have:
1) Chris (TitansFan)
2) Jack (crumbletop)
3) Gary (gflat65)
4) Angela
5) Tim (luckyfish)
6) demos10
7) This leaves one more then I will order from him.

Anyone besides Jack want me to request unmounted if this is an option?

Freed: I wish I could bro. I just really don't want to deal with shipping out.

Gflat is in Al but just moved there from Nashville. He was the last president of MTRC and still comes back to Nashvegas which is when he will likely pick up his frag

You guys know the growth rates even the most pristine tanks are getting out of those? You guys must have the patience of Job. I've never had a reef tank set up long enough to even come close to the time it's gonna take to get even what would be considered a small colony outta those bad boys. Gorgeous coral though, for sure.

I will probably just kill mine as it is I think I already did one in if thats what I think a freind left me as a swap for some goodies. If so then I CAN'T BELIVE I KILLED IT!!! It was in the QT I had going that had a heater malfunction right before the swap and melted the flesh right off everything. Now that I know what that very pretty blue coral was I am kicking myself for not putting it in the main tank right away!!

You need to check with him if we can get anything else added in from his awsome tank.

That was actually a California Tort Angela and I'm sure we can do some more tradin' sometime

The Oregons are a different blue...very nice and well worth the wait. $30 is a great deal.
