They are very cool little critters. Any idea if you have a male/female pair, if so have you had them spawn yet?

I believe Dr. Shimek wrote that the difference in the sexes is the size. I cannot see any substantial differences...the other shrimp not pictured is about the same size. I am totally open to buying 2 or three more to bring the probability of having at least one male and one female up. I have not seen them carry any eggs yet, but they are hard to examine. The closer you get increases the amount of swaying that they do. If you get too close they just rocket out of the way, and man are they swift.

The are extremely fun to watch, they bounce between just about every coral piece I have. I have even noticed one hanging out inside the crown of my feather duster.

I had 3 at the time and one died or got eaten, but now I'm left with a pair. And yes, they differ in size. Female is the larger of the two. My female's body size is almost twice as big as the male. The eggs are hardly visible. You will just need to monitor the abdomen part. Once you see it bulge in size, then chances are the female is carrying eggs. I have yet to have the time to attempt to raise the fry. Good luck with pairing them.

Thanks for the info cbr600rri, do you have any pictures that show the size differential or a female gravid with eggs.
