Hairy Mushroom?

I thought this was a carpet anenome but Eric Borneman's excellent book Aquarium Corals says its a Rhodactis (hairy mushroom). What say you. Anyway it (they?) look pretty good. Identify the critter along the top edge for extra credit....

Yeah, a Rhodactis Hairy Mushroom.

I've got one just like it that was sold as a Purple Hairy Shroom.

I've also seen them called Elephant Ear Mushrooms occasionaly.

Yep its a rhodactis. They can get pretty large. I think the elephant ear is a similar looking\ related one that also gets big and is capable of eating fish.. gotta be weary of those if you have little gobies or things that like to perch on your mushrooms
