What's the brown stuff on my glass?

Not sure if you can see it, but it's the brown stuff in the left lower hand side of the tank. It's also some on the back wall. Started a couple days ago. Tank about 1 month old.

Do I scrape it off or do I let the snails get it?

I,d scrape it off of the areas you view your tank. (front sides) there will be enough on the back of you glass for the snails.
