Question Red Coris Wrasse Gone?

Hallo every one .I have a question about the Red Coris Wrasse .I purchased one yesterday, juvenile (orange –white) . Put it to my mixed tank, it looked like is happy, was eating and swimming a lot. Today I can’t find him. Is it hiding in the DSB (very fine sand)? Or in the rock work? I have no experience with this fish. My some one advice me?

Hey Jerry,

The Red Coris will burrow in sand to both sleep and when its frightened. I've heard owners of this wrasse say that it could hide in the sand for days at a time. They are also jumpers and you need to have a tight fitting top if you dont already have one. I'm actually thinking about getting a Red Coris or a Tusk for my tank.

My red coris would stay buried for a very long time when he wasn't happy. There was one whole week where I never saw him at all. I wouldn't assume he is gone yet although these fish are fairly delicate.
