Question SCWD pump

Any suggestions for pump GPH to run a SCWD wave maker on a 75 gal with almost no lift? How efficient will the pump output be running the wave maker? Any advice appreciated.

I've got a mag 7 running my scwd on a 58 RR. I'm thinking of changing it to a mag 9 and using a ball valve to regulate the flow.

Contact the tank manufacturer and ask them what the max flow is for your tank. The scwd seems to knock off about 10% of the rated flow of the pump. Here's the scwd link and the pump link.

I run a Mag 12 on a 75 gallon setup. It works well. Be aware that the SWID does cut flow about 30% but more than makes up for it by the turbulence it creates.

Brian, you got that up and running pretty quickly.

I have a slightly throttled Mag 18 on mine... But I'd probably recommend a 900-1400 gph pump. So either a Mag 9.5 or a Mag 12.
