HDMI cable question

There is an hdmi cable on ebay for 20 bux that is gold-plated and one for 50 bux that is "premium gold plated." What is the difference?

I wouldn't waste my money on gold-plated anything; just get regular, it works fine.

Yep, I read the same thing on the AV forum. The $5 one works just as well as the $75 one.

What's more important with HDMI is the amount of shielding the cable has, for distance runs. HDMI is a pretty delicate digital format, even more so now that it's carrying audio, and it's prone to interference.

Check Monoprice for the cable also, you can get it for less. Cables can be a waste of money if you are not careful.
