No The sump is fitting really tight in the stand, i will need to modified it a bit since it had an integrated fitting that was not supposed to be there. If its still not fitting, i might need to cut a leg of my stand to fit it in... hopefully, it will still hold once full without any problem but i hope i wont have to do that... in other word, i have lot of work and i am quite ****ed that i cant do anything more right now

"Powder coating is the process of coating a surface in which a powder material is applied using an electrostatic or compressed air method. The applied powder is then heated (cured) to its melting point, after which it flows to form a smooth film which dries to a firm, durable finish very resistent to scratches, cracking, peeling, UV rays and rust."
If you want to know more about it, here's the reference

I just received confirmation with AO that my remaining stuff will be here on tuesday! It was about time! I will put some new pictures really soon. I am also about to start making the canopy. The plans are in process and making sure its going to work out propely.
The jackpost are in place, been verified by an engineer to make sure that it is well positioned and no disaster ahead. I lost interested in making the tank because that i have been waiting so long to make it work, but now that things are going and i will be receiving my stuff, i cant wait to see the result once the tank will be fonctional.

You sure dropped some serious cash on equipment. Nice choice on the vortechs with battery backups. IMO they are the best pumps you can buy and with the battery back ups you are set in the case of a power outage. Post lots more pics!

Finally, the sump is under the tank! I had to grind the stand a bit to make it fit under it.
Here's some pictures before i start to fill it up. Receiving the bulkhead either today or tomorrow, i will start the plumbing. I will fill only the 1/3 of it for now and try out those vortech see what they can do!

Thanks Bart! Yup the canibet will cover everything and we wont be able to see the bottom part that you see in the pictures. The stand on the right is my reservoir for water change, its holding around 85G and the one on the left will have all my accessories and stuff for the aquarium: Test kit, refractometer, etc... I was also thinking of putting the ACLS unit there with the face showing off :P Hope the power cord is long enough!

After 20 hours, my tank is 1/3 full with Ro/DI water. I will be testing the vortech pump probably tonight and at the same time mix up the salt.
I am about to order the sand, not sure between the Carib-Sea Oceans Direct Live Sand or the Carib-Sea Arag Alive Sand. Any opinion on this? Still waiting for my missing part: the other pendant and ACLS unit and all of my bulkheads so i can start the plumbing...

How long have you been waiting for this stuff? Did you expect this wait? I hope this is not the normal routine. I just ordered two complete systems from them.

Save your money on the live sand bags. Just get the dry stuff and collect some sand samples from a trusted friends tank once yours has been up for a little while. Life in the sand bed spreads like wild fire. There is no need to incur the added expense, in my opinion.
