:50$ each.:
lol ,,,you wish .... I was at the ORA facility about 3 weeks ago. You'd be amazed how hard it is for them to come across Picasso clowns since they do not really have pairs that produce Picassos. I think the number was out of every regular thousand clowns they might have a couple of Picasso come out .... ORA currently has about a year wait list for stores ..and when they ship out Picassos they limit it to one pair per store.... so the 50 bucks per pair is a dream # .... |

sorry but i HIGHLY doubt that there was a dozen there....I was at that same tour and the sales manager is limiting to one pair per store and there is currently a 8-12 month wait.... and that the cost of what he charges the stores in is impossible for a LFS to take that kind of loss. Maybe you didnt get a Picasso clown. |

However, I am telling you I got 2 ORA picassos out of a tank of 12 from Absolutely Fish in Clifton, NJ. I got them back in May and paid $60/each for them. Pics in my gallery of when i first got them. Since then alot of black has developed. I only have one now, one jumped out. This store also always has a pair of snowflakes for $400. They are only allowed two of those at a time. This store always has rare clowns and never has any problems getting what you need. Maybe back in May it was easier to get them, I don't know. After they sold the 12 they had they have not had any more since. |

Ok here's my update. My friend dosn't want to sell them any longer. A LFS has 2 from ORA $100 Each or both for $150. I havn't seen them yet. Actually I haven't seen any of the Picasso's from ORA. I was told to look for some because I didn't want to pay 500 for a pair of snowflakes at live aquaria.
Not ever seeing a Picasso until I looked at JER-Z's Gallery I thought they had the really weired patters like the Snowflakes? I'm going to look at the ones at the LFS in the morning. I forgot to call and ask them to hold them. I hope they are still there? |

You guys can believe what you want, But i was quoted too at $50
per fish. Some stores would tell you that so they can get 500 per fish. Thats a shame charging that much. I think i may get them. Nice ones there bob!

I paid 50 for each of mine as well. Many stores get the snow flakes and Picasso's mixed up so that may be an explanation for the huge difference in price.
Based on what I have seen Picasso's are difficult to come by but not as bad as some people think. I remember going to 2 different LFS' shortly after I bought mine and each had a pair. Maybe ORA is starting to get more and more Picasso's when they are breeding them. One thing to make note of is all three pairs of picasso's that I saw looked completely different. I would have to say that the pair I got looked more like the original Picasso male with the white cheeck marks. The others had decent markings but I have actually seen some true perc's that were more unusually patterned so don't expect getting specimans that resemble the original male if you have your LFS special order them for you. Here are pics of my pair plus a third pic of a true percula clown that I found shortly before I bought my Picassos. See if you can guess which one is the true perc. |
