Just a question about Deep sand beds. Can a deep sand bed keep working infinitely or after many years will it become "full" and start to cause problems. I have read opinions that point in both directions. What is your thought??

Welcome back Iwan
I too will be very interested in this thread a your thoughts and experiences with full zeovit . I have one question did you ever try to run your other method with a shallow sand bed ? I have about a inch in my tank and I am running a split system DST |

I spent several hours catching up in the other thread. I'm happy to get in at the start on this one.
I am anxious to see your improvements.

You probably are already aware of his tank, but yours looks very similar to Oregon Reefs. You might want to hit him up for some ideas on this subject and/or others. www.oregonreef.com |

Iwan, I'll be in Basel next week. Would it be possible to see your tank in person, or is the famous one gone now? I may have time to stop by on Wednesday or Thursday for a few minutes.

I guess you will not be the last time in Switzerland. And next time you'll find a new tank, who's much better and impressive than the old one was. |

Hey Iwan,
I thought you weren't going to get a new tank until you two got a new house. Did you move, or just couldn't stand the wait? |

Anyone have a link to his old tank? A thread or webpage or something? Even just some pics would be cool. Thanls.
