You gotta give the #1 offense in the country more credit than that! No way is that Texas offense going to score 5 touchdowns on us.

Go Bucks!

All I can say is PLAYOFF...
NCAA needs a playoff system... we all know the SEC is the strongest confrence... it's not really worth fighting over..
It would be so nice to see all the teams fight it out and come up with a real hands down Champ.

Here is what Jeff Sagarin determined for this year
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc06.htm

Ad here is last years
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc05.htm

Seems the facts don't back up all the SEC boasting going on here.

In this guys computations, why doesn’t he show any of the wins in the “VS top 10” sections (TN/CAL)?

Not sure. His stuff is good enough for the NCAA to use in the BCS rankings so I guess he knows what he is doing.

A playoff system would not show the SEC’s power. Last seasons bowl games proved that (Au/WI and GA/WV).

This early in the year rankings don't mean much. ending rankings for last year are a different story. They will give you an idea of where teams/divisions are going to start out this season to a point.

BTW, I like Tennessee but beating CAL wasn't a big surprise. These fools who ranked CAL so high are also high on crack! Cal had better teams in the past and got no respect and now they have horrible QB's to go along with their horrible WR's who made the QB's look even worse dropping every pass that went their way in that game and their defense is not that good either yet the pollsters thought they were top 10 material???

That was last year and Auburn seems to have the edge this year in winning the SEC with LSU and Tenn coming in 2nd & 3rd.
Florida seems to erratic and their "D" doesn't look as tough as the rest of the teams in the SEC and Alabama will be nothing to worry about and Georgia lost too much on offense.

SEC looks to return to the top of the class this year but haven't been the last few years. Fact is a Fact.

To much on offense, is that a joke. I guess you have not heard the name Matthew Stafford. I am going to say he is going to have one heck of a year.

That pretty little tear drop is no more.
But I can tell you where you can buy one even prettier.

Yeah we have a young Defense with a lot of first year starters but I would still be very suprised to see 5 TD's scored on them.

Im thinking more like... 24-17 - buckeyes on top.

The fools that rated Cal so high are smoking the same crack as they were when they Rated SC so high after we lost 2 Heisman winners and several other starters in the same draft

I love SC but have a feeling they are going to have an off year. You gotta lose a game or 2 every couple or three years just to keep the ego in check
