There used to be a link I will try and find it again. It was for one of the map sites and it would give you dots for every one of these on the map so you could see when one was close to you.

Yes, it is grossly outdated.

Anything south of say, US Cellular Field, is not the south side. It's called another state. :-)

HONEST...won't sell you something when he knows you don't need it
and best of all, it doesn't feel like you're going into some stuffy store when you go there...it's like going to a buddy's house
I always get stuffy when i go to Rod's. It's not the social atmosphere, it's the humidity.

ROD'S REEF without a doubt for me as well. Although I do shop at others on occasion, Rod has and always will be my first choice in an LFS.

He saved me from continual trouble back in the day and edumacated me on proper reef keeping.

"If you are not having fun with this, then don't do it" is a quote I have heard a few times.

Tony said most of what I would have said, so I won't re-type it, but Rod is by far the reason I do this hobby and decided to come back. He has shown my wife and I the rewards of reefing.

Thanks ROD

Rod's my number one!!! Why because he has lots of B-days and wears funny hats...

Oh wait, it's also because he's honest and knowledgeable!

I've shopped at almost every LFS in a 2 hour radius(from Crystal Lake). The one place that has clicked with me the most is Shotank. Matt is one of the most knowledgable guys I've ever talked to in this hobby. Most people are known for one to a few good things they are good at. Matt seems to exceed vast knowledge in almost all subjects(except surges ). The shop is well rounded like Matt too. His fish, SPS, LPS, softies, zoos, clams, used equipment and prices are all what I've been looking for over the years.
Matt is like the "Rain Man" of saltwater knowledge. Only with less stuttering.

That's one of the "others". That list was old to begin with. We really need a new updated list.

Jeni,

Nobody is stopping you from putting a new one together. You have been whining about this list since I posted it. Quit whining and put a new list together or just quit whining.
